Antero Resources

Antero Resources is an independent exploration and production (E&P) company engaged in the acquisition, development, and production of unconventional natural gas resources in the United States. Unconventional play types for Antero include tight sands and fractured shales. Corporate headquarters are located in Denver, Colorado. Antero has properties in the Piceance Basin in Colorado, the Arkoma and Ardmore Basins in Oklahoma, and the Appalachian Basin in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Antero sold its Barnett Shale business to XTO Energy in April 2005 after successfully drilling 250 wells in the play and building gross operated production to 150 MMcf per day. Antero currently has 138 MMcf per day of gross operated production (136 MMcf per day net including non-operated production and natural gas liquids).
