Utica Shale

Antero has over 114,000 net acres of leasehold located in eastern Ohio in the rich gas/condensate window of the Utica Shale Play.

  • Operating five drilling rigs in the Utica Shale
  • Production in the Utica Shale averaged 54 MMcfe per day in the fourth quarter of 2013. The net daily production figure includes approximately 2,200 Bbls per day of NGLs and oil
  • Antero has drilled and completed 21 horizontal Utica Shale wells, all of which are online
  • Antero is processing its production at Seneca I, a new 200 MMcf per day cryogenic processing facility located in Noble County, Ohio that went into service November 2013. A second 200 MMcf per day plant, Seneca II, recently went on line and is now processing Antero rich gas.
